CHANGES to Summer Women’s Bible Study The summer Bible study has been changed to Thursday evenings and will begin this Thursday, June 15th at 7:00 p.m. Lyne Guthrie will be leading this nine-week study using the book, Lord, I’m Torn Between Two Masters by Kay Arthur. This book is a study through Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount. Jesus challenged His followers to pursue a faith without compromise, without anxiety, and without judgmentalism. He encouraged them to build a faith that bears fruit, a faith built on rock, a faith that would be true to the only Lord and Master. Will you join us in this study? If so, please sign up in the foyer. The cost of the book is $15 and can be purchased from the office anytime. Please work through Chapter 1 before Thursday evening.
Summer Soccer Camp Peoples Church will be offering a soccer camp this summer for kids ages 8-12. The camp is intended to be a ministry to not just our own kids but also to the community, so consider inviting non-church families. The camp will be held July 17-21 here at the church. Registration forms are available at the Welcome Centre and will be taken in at the office. Fees must accompany your registration please.
Sonshiners Wrap Up Event All seniors are invited to attend the final meeting before the summer break. The event will take place Thursday, June 22nd at 10:30 a.m. The singing group Mercy will be with us to entertain and lead in worship through song. A hot meal will be served at noon. Cost is $7 to be paid at the door. Sign up today in the foyer.
2017 Missions Celebration Mark your calendars for Sunday, June 25th for our annual Missions Celebration. This year’s theme is That We Would Be One, based on John 17:11b. On Sunday morning, we will be visited by Polish missions workers Michal & Sylwia Skiba and their family in EXALT. The morning worship service will have a missions focus related to our celebration theme. At 5:00 p.m., the Missions Committee will host a delicious dinner featuring beef on a bun, salads, and other items in the Fellowship Hall with our visiting missionaries. Then at 6:30 p.m. we will move to the Worship Hall and hear from our own Stephanie Vandertil. Please sign up for the dinner before June 18th at the sign-up desk near the front doors. Seating is limited. Everyone is welcome!
