We Believe in Christ. We Belong to Christ. We Serve Christ.

Announcements 2018.09.23

Small Group Ministry Our small groups are now starting up. Joining a group is a great way to dive deeper into the Word each week, make new friends, and encourage and challenge one another as we press on in our individual walks. If you would like to join a group, please pick up and complete a Small Group Information sheet from the Welcome Centre and submit it to the office as soon as possible.

Meals Ministry Our Meals Ministry is an important “one-another” ministry within the church body, providing meals to families with new babies and various other situations. This ministry could use a few more people willing to provide meals when needed. Meals do not have to be home-cooked and can be left in the church fridge/freezer for pickup. Please contact our Meals Ministry coordinators Janessa Klazinga (519-845-0085) or Amy Kelly (519-899-4204) if you are able to bless others with a meal occasionally.

Children’s Ministry Volunteer Paperwork It’s that time of year again when we are required to update our files on every adult who serves in ministries to children and youth. If you are an adult who helps out in nursery, junior church, Sunday school, Awana, Quest, or Impact, you need to go see Helena at the table in the foyer after today’s service. If you are due for a police check, that paperwork will be ready for you as well.

Winter Gear for Students While winter is officially three months down the road, we wanted to let you know that we will be collecting winter gear, including mittens, toques, scarves, socks, and coats for students at Lambton College some time in October. This is through our missions worker, Doug Thomson, who oversees The Rock on Campus ministry as chaplain at Lambton College. For those of you who are knitters, here is an opportunity to use your skills to bless international and domestic students at the college who may not be able to afford to purchase proper winter gear.

Perfumes/Scents Some in our congregation are allergic to perfumes, colognes, aftershaves, and other strong scents. In consideration of those who suffer adverse effects to these scents, such as asthma attacks, the church family is asked to please refrain from using any scents so as not to hinder a fellow brother or sister from worshipping with us.
